New Member: NOCO Women's Chamber Sun, Jun 15, 25 Raising Spirits and Elevating WomenThis is our liquor store's journey with the NOCO Women’s Chamber of Commerce At The Park we’ve always believed that great business starts with great community. When we first opened our doors- 5 years ago, we set out to do more than just offer the finest selection of wines, spirits, and craft brews in the Broomfield area—we wanted to build something that welcomed and connected people. That commitment has taken many forms and it’s still ever evolving. We love being the go-to when you think of a clean, happy, bright place to get your spirit needs… but one of the most recent commitments, which we are very proud of, is joining the Northern Colorado (NOCO) Women’s Chamber of Commerce. This partnership has not only opened doors to new opportunities—it’s opened our hearts and minds to a whole new level of community, collaboration, and connection. As Linda DeLano stated when founding this Chamber, “This initiative aims to foster an environment of support, education, and community where women can come together to uplift and empower one another.” And, it has done exactly that! The Park Wine and Spirits is thrilled to host a monthly tasting, where we come together, enjoy beverages and learn about the industry too. And, just last month, along with Kim from female-owned Felene Vodka, we hosted a Root Beer float tasting—absolutely fun and spectacular! On July 9th, join us at The Park Wine and Spirits for your monthly wine tasting and some lovely NOCO Women’s connections.Another fun and notable upcoming event is the “Christmas in July” Mini ExpoJuly 10th | 4pm - 6pm. Intrepid Bodyworks Recovery Center3854 East 120th Avenue, Thornton, CoCome by to spin the wheel! As a locally-owned and operated liquor store, we’re proud to be part of Northern Colorado’s vibrant small business community. And, we’ve seen first-hand how women-owned and women-led businesses often face unique challenges—access to capital, visibility, and support networks, just to name a few. When we learned more about the NOCO Women’s Chamber, we knew right away this was the kind of organization we wanted to align with. Their mission is about more than just business; it’s about empowering women to rise, whether they’re entrepreneurs, leaders, or change-makers.By joining, we weren’t just gaining access to networking events or business development resources - though those are incredible, too - we were investing in a larger movement—one that champions equity, inclusion, support, and sustainable success.Being a member of the NOCO Women’s Chamber comes with a long list of tangible and intangible benefits. For our shop, it’s meant growth with visibility, relationships, and sense of purpose. Check out what we’ve learned and gained:1. Stronger Local NetworkAt the heart of the Chamber is a dynamic, supportive network of women and allies who believe in rising together. Through monthly mixers, coffee connections, and co-hosted events, we’ve had the chance to connect and build lasting relationships with other business owners in the region. These connections are turning into referrals, partnerships, and even friendships. It’s also created opportunities to showcase our store to a new audience—especially to women who prioritize shopping local and supporting values-driven businesses.2. Business Development ResourcesFrom workshops on marketing and branding to financial literacy seminars and sales training, the Chamber is a powerhouse of learning. We’ve had access to resources that help our team grow not just as business owners but as leaders.Whether it's learning how to host better in-store events or understanding consumer trends among female shoppers, we're learning and benefiting from the collective knowledge within the organization.3. Community VisibilityLet’s be honest—visibility is everything when you’re running a local retail business. By partnering with the Chamber, we’ve had the opportunity to sponsor events, participate in expos, and even be featured in the Chamber’s own newsletters and social media. That kind of exposure is invaluable, especially when you’re working to expand your audience or share a new product or promotion.4. Empowerment and InspirationThere’s something incredibly energizing about being in a room full of women who are running companies, making change, and lifting each other up. At every Chamber event, we leave feeling motivated, encouraged, and proud to be part of something bigger than ourselves. The events that are being hosted by the chamber are a great way to connect and learn, from the B.L.I.N.G. (Business Ladies Inspiring Networking and Growth), to monthly WOW (Women of Wisdom)— you will find a positive way to connect. We must also mention their “Bank on Her” networking meeting events which take place inside a real bank vault—such a neat concept! Here you will find driven women who are ready to elevate their ambitions, support one another, and create something meaningful and lasting. Be sure to check out the NoCo Women's Chamber events calendar and explore their website to learn more about what this great organization is all about. In closing, to me (Mari Ann), co-owner of The Park, joining the NOCO Women’s Chamber wasn’t just a business decision—it was a personal one. It’s about being part of a community that matches our spirit. A community that believes in doing good while doing business. A community that sees strength in collaboration and celebrates every success, no matter how big or small. So the next time you stop by The Park, know that you're supporting more than a local business. You’re supporting a mission. A mission to create space, lift voices, and toast to the power of women everywhere. To the NOCO Women’s Chamber—and to every woman daring to lead, dream, and build—cheers. We’re honored to stand beside you. Want to learn more about our Chamber journey, upcoming events, or how to collaborate? Stop by the store or follow us on @theparkwineandspirits.
