Meet Our Shop Dog, Taylor. Fri, Aug 23, 24 | about us This is Taylor, lovingly nicknamed 'Tay Tay'. 🐕 We would like to formally introduce our shop dog to you. Taylor is a Sheepadoodle, a dog breed that results from crossing a Sheepdog (in Taylor’s case an Old English Sheepdog) with a Poodle. This combination brings together the best traits of both parent breeds, resulting in a unique and charming dog. He is the perfect shopdog, and even though he’s 96 pounds, he is a gentle giant. This breed is known for their friendly, affectionate, and intelligent nature… and Taylor’s hits every one of those. He’s definitely a highlight of the store. Customers love coming in to get their cold beers and get their special Taylor pets. Taylor has been part of the James family for almost 8 years. His birthday is September 6, and we’re excited to celebrate his popularity at home and at the store. Most customers walk in and are immediately greeted by Taylor. Many customers love when Taylor accompanies them to do the shopping around the store. They take Taylor’s suggestions very seriously, though let’s be honest...Taylor is in it for the extra loving pets our amazing customers give.National Dog Day is August 26, and we are so proud and honored to celebrate this dog as one of the best parts of The PARK Wine & Spirits family.The other impressive thing about Taylor is his ability to beg for treats (ok, that’s not super impressive, but it never ends, lol). The Park is a dog friendly store and we always have doggy treats available, complimentary for our customer’s furry friends. So many of our regular customers know this and their pups do too, it’s so great! For the most part they are trained to get this treat at the end of the transaction. What’s funny and interesting is that Taylor has caught onto this and loves when other dogs come in as he’s pretty much guaranteed a little treat as well. Smart sheepadoodle indeed! In addition to the complimentary treats that we provide, we also sell beer and wine shaped doggy treats, which we get from our local pet store Wag-n-Wash. Taylor’s tail does some extra wagging when he recognizes that we are at Wag-n-Wash to pick up more treats.
